The glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) used in STARHORSE® Arthro-Med are derived from food-grade New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel, ensuring compliance with the highest quality standards.

STARHORSE® Arthro-Med provides nutritional support to maintain the normal function of joint cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joint capsules, and synovial fluid. To preserve the elasticity and resilience of the musculoskeletal system, the body must continuously replenish its supply of GAGs. Connective tissues and joint cartilage possess the natural ability to absorb GAGs via fluid and release them under physical load or pressure.

During periods of increased physical demand (performance horses), rapid growth (foals), or as horses age, the requirement for GAGs increases significantly. If the body cannot meet this demand internally, it may lead to wear and tear of the musculoskeletal system, including cartilage, joints and tendons.

STARHORSE® Arthro-Med ensures a targeted supply of glycosaminoglycans while simultaneously providing essential vitamins required for efficient absorption. To ensure palatability, the formula features a delicate apple and pear flavour. This appetising taste, combined with its fine powder form (rather than traditional pellets), ensures easy feeding and higher acceptance by horses.

NOTE ON QUALITY:
For maximum efficacy, GAGs must be obtained from pure mussel extract. Products consisting solely of mussel powder are inexpensive but lack the potency to produce a noticeable effect. STARHORSE® Arthro-Med contains only pure mussel extract.
